Rooks Con World Series Qualifier
You must purchase a Rooks Con badge to enter the convention. You will not be able to play in any events with an entry badge.

For the first time in 2026, Rooks Games and More will be hosting a World Series of Board Gaming (WSBG) qualifier.
Rooks Con’s WSBG Qualifier will run in the following way: On Monday May 18th and Tuesday May 19th at our store location, 2740 W Main ST, Bozeman, MT, 59718, we will run a “Mini World Series”. The “Mini World Series” will function the same as the world series event itself, running single elimination rounds for every game the WSBG is hosting in 2026, except each game will only have a maximum of 16 players, so the maximum times you need to win a game to qualify for the semifinal draw is 2, and most games will probably require only 1 win in our first year. If you win any individual game (don’t get eliminated), you will make the semifinal. Our semifinal games will be drawn Tuesday night after all games have finished. Players who are drawn into our Semi Final will play their semi final games at at 2023 Commerce Way, Bozeman, Montana, 59715. The 4 winners of the semi final games, will then each get 1 veto for a game they won’t play in the final. Also, all games played in the semi final and won earlier by any finalist will be eliminated. Then a final game will be drawn, and the finalists will play that game to crown a WSBG qualifier champion.
The winner of the qualifier will win a full stay and play WSBG package (or equivalent value to be spent on WSBG travel, hotel, or other WSBG expenses). All of our finalists will receive a prize of some sort, although those prizes will be determined based on the qualifier total player count.
Our WSBG qualifier will also run right before our Rooks Con Board Game event. If you are interested in playing in all 4 games of the qualifier that is $50, or individual games cost $12.50. The board game event costs $70 for all 6 days, or $60 for 3 days, and everyone who attends Rooks Con must purchase a $30 badge to participate in any part of Rooks Con, so if you would like to join us for the full week of gaming and for the qualifier, and - for the Board Game tournaments and open gaming the total cost is $150. Personally $150 for a week of gaming is something I think has a great value. I (Cliff) believe this is a great value for our board game players of all skill levels, and will always attempt to provide as much fun in gaming to our customers, at as affordable a price as is possible.
